The latest Xtar VC2S smart charger charges Li-Ion, NiMH and NiCd cells. Countdown timer for each charging channel, showing the time until the battery is fully charged. It automatically recognizes the type of battery and the information is displayed on a color LED display. It can charge NiMh and Li-Ion cells simultaneously. The charging current can be selected: 0.5A / 1.0A / 2.0A. The VC2S is also a power supply for devices. While charging the cells, you can use the USB output at the same time. The "Power Management System" function allows both the batteries to be charged and the external device to be powered at the same time the power is connected. Additionally, the device can be used as a Power Bank.

The TC / CC / CV charging method is a three-stage Li-ion battery charging process that ensures the cell is kept in good condition by charging the appropriate current at each stage and completing the charging process at the right moment. The different steps in the TC / CC / CV process are: • TC phase: cells discharged below 2.9V are 'excited' with a lower current. • CC phase: after reaching 2.9V, the cell is charged with a constant current of 0.05A to 0.5A (depending on the power source used). • CV phase: when the cell is almost charged, the charger switches to charging with decreasing current until reaching 4.2V on the cell. Upon reaching 4.2V, the charging process is complete - the battery is fully charged.

Charged batteries will naturally discharge if left in the charger. Charging will resume when the battery voltage drops below the set threshold.

The Xtar VC2S charger has the function of reactivating deeply discharged cells and cells with a voltage of 0V. It is enough to insert a deeply discharged battery into the VC2S charger, just like during normal charging - the charger detects the discharged cell and attempts to reactivate it. Attention! Cells discharged below a certain level will be irreparably damaged and may not be reactivated. Avoid deeply discharging Li-ion batteries - this may significantly reduce their lifetime and capacity or lead to their complete failure.

The Xtar VC2S charger comes with a micro USB cable. The set does not include the power supply. All you need to power the charger is any charger with a micro USB cable, e.g. from a phone, or a USB socket, or a computer with a free USB port. The recommended charger power is 2A (2000mA).
